Director General of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, Rotimi Amaechi has appealed to the presidential flag bearer of People Democratic Party, PDP on the issue of just concluded election that instead of going to court, he should rather see a way to work with Buhari in bringing good governance to Nigerians.
Amaechi, the minister of transportation who heads the campaign council said this while taking questions from a journalist in Abuja on Tuesday.
Nigeria News had earlier reported that Atiku had filed a case in court on Tuesday to inspect all election materials as regards to the presidential election that took place on 23rd of March 2019 which saw the sitting president emerge as the president-elect.
The INEC had declared Buhari the winner of the presidential poll with over 2 million votes margin.
He said: “I told my colleagues that it is only those who fail elections that gather for meetings, while the winners just gather to pop champagne and drink to their victory.
“We are celebrating but we are conscious of the fact that we want to repeat what Gowon said in 1970: ‘No victor, no vanquished’. We enjoin our colleagues in the PDP to join us in ensuring that Nigerians benefit from good governance.
“We believe they are our colleagues and friends, but if they don’t see reason, I think we also have lawyers.”
