The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign Council and senior lawyer, Festus keyamo has interpreted his tweets on Monday morning, stating that President Buhari’s WAEC Certificate is genuine, while that of Senator Adeleke, is fabricated.
The senior lawyer had earlier stated in an interview on Sunday that one doesn’t need WAEC certificate to become a political contestant.
Keyamo also went ahead to say Buhari’s certificate originality had been verified by WAEC; adding that fabrication occurs when the issuer of a document denies its originality, and that WAEC has disproved Adeleke’s certificate.
His tweet read: “By the definition of “School Certificate or its equivalent” in section 318 of the 1999 const. you don’t need a WAEC certificate to become President or Governor, but if you present a forged WAEC or other certificates to INEC for any office you will be disqualified.”
