1.Rivers Guber: INEC suspends collation of results
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, suspended the collation of results for the Rivers State governorship election.
Obo Effanga, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, announced this at the collation centre in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
According to Effanga, the electoral body will continue with the exercise at 10am on Wednesday.
The announcement followed the collation of results from 15 Local Government Areas of the state.
2. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s former ally, Iroanya threatens actions against IPOB leader, others
Clifford Iroanya, erstwhile ally of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has warned against any further attempt to denigrate his image.
DAILY POST reports that the warning is a fallout of a confession by one of Kanu’s coordinators, Candy Stallworth, in the United States of America (USA), before Honorable Judge J. Scott Duncan of the Circuit Court.
She was said to have told the court that Mr. Kanu fed him with fake information which she used against Dr. Clifford Iroanya.
3. 4 feared dead in fresh Jukun/Tiv clashes in Taraba
At least four persons were feared dead with several houses burnt in a fresh communal clash between Jukun and Tiv ethnic groups in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba on Monday.
According to NAN, a witness, Jerry Luka, told NAN that trouble started in Kente village in the evening when youths from both ethnic groups clashed over a misunderstanding.
“The misunderstanding led to the killing of two people in Kente and this morning two others were killed around General Hospital in Wukari.
4. FG speaks on five Nigerians arrested for robbery in Dubai
The Federal Government has condemned the action of five Nigerians arrested for alleged robbery of Dh 2.3 million Dinars in Sharjah area of Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UAE).
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said this in a statement to NAN by her media aide, Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Tuesday in Abuja.
The five Nigerians had on Sunday allegedly stormed a money exchange centre in Sharjah and fled with 2.3 million Dinars before they were arrested by the Dubai Police.
5. Okorocha plotting to frustrate Ihedioha in Imo – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State chapter has lashed out at the state governor, Rochas Okorocha over the purported appointment of his cronies into the state Judicial Service Commission in the twilight of his administration.
The party described the action of the governor as a plot to frustrate the state’s governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha.
In a statement on Tuesday by the Imo state Secretary of the party, Ray Emeana, the PDP maintained that the appointment was designed by Okorocha to make sure that Ihedioha did not start on a good footing on May 29.
6. PDP tells tribunal to nullify APGA’s victory for Anambra East/West Fed. Constituency
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has prayed the Elections Petition Tribunal to nullify the election of Chief Chinedu Obidigwe of the All Progressives Grand Alliance as the winner of the Feb. 23 election for Anambra East and Anambra West Federal Constituency.
Mr Ernest Nwoye, candidate of the PDP, made the prayer in his petition to the tribunal sitting in Awka, Anambra, NAN reports.
The petition marked EPT/AN/HR/03/2019 was filed by Nwoye, C.C Ofoegbunam, Maduka Onwuemena, Chikezie Onyinye-Iheazor and Ifeanyi Ifediba.

George Sekibo (Rivers East), Bari Mpigi (Rivers South East) and Betty Apiafi (Rivers West) defeated their opponents, to ensure a clean swoop for the opposition party.

The Federal High Court sitting in Warri has upheld the candidacy of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates that emerged through the primaries supervised by INEC in Delta.
The presiding judge, Justice Emeka Ewite, in his judgement delivered on Tuesday, struck out the suit filed by the applicant, Mr O’tega Emerhor challenging the validity of the primary that brought Omo-Agege.
Ewite struck out the suit on the ground of incompetence and lacking in merit, NAN reports.
10. EPL: Solskjaer blames one player for Man Utd’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves
Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has criticized Ashley Young for going to ground to make a tackle, after being shown a yellow card by referee Mike Dean.
Young was sent off during United’s 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Tuesday, with the scores level at 1-1.
United took the lead through Scott McTominay, but the hosts fought back and levelled through Diogo Jota before the break.
