According to a statement, Obaseki on Tuesday said this during a tour where he appreciated the people of the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, where he commended the people of the council for the massive support they gave him during the election.

“Three wards in this local government got 95 per cent votes for the party during the governorship election that brought this administration to power.”

Adding that the people deserved to be rewarded, he said, “During the one-year anniversary of this administration, we will lay the foundation for an Industrial park at Ologbo. We will create jobs for our youths through this means to fulfill our electioneering promises of job creation.”

The governor had earlier visited Uselu, the administrative headquarters of Egor Local Government Area, where he promised the people more road construction projects across the council area.

Obaseki said, “we have awarded the contracts for roads at 19th Street, Ugbowo; Powerline at Evbuotubu; Textile Mill Road; Uwelu road, among others.”

Governor Obaseki announced an award of N500,000 to the seven wards where his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), got the highest number of votes in the governorship election that brought him into power.

The APC Chairman in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Eric Osayande, thanked the governor for his developmental strides in road construction in just 10 months of his leadership.

“We thank you for the ongoing construction work at Lucky way; Obayantor-Ogbekpen-Obagie-Irhirhi Road and others, as well as, the proposed Industrial park at Ologbo/Obazagbon.”
