Peter Obi who happened to be the Ex-Governor of Anambra State made it clear that he never had the intention to create division in the State politics. His aide, Val Obienyem said the Ex-Governor was the one who purported that the power should shift to Anambra North, contesting against his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in 2013, according to the info received by NIGERIA NEWS.
The Vice President candidate for the just concluded 2019 Presidential election said that he was aiming for balance in the political ground of the state. His aide further said that Peter Obi is a mentor one should emulate his action and will for the state, He said Peter Obi was able to save over 75 billion naira for the state during the financial crisis that hit Nigeria.
His aide, Mr. Val Obienyem connotes by saying:
“If at any time the state wants rotation or any form of political arrangement, it would not be the imposition of one man because if allowed to stand, history may interpret such as a predisposition of Obi to autocracy.
“In a democracy, decisions are by consensus and not a one-man-show,”
“They should imbibe his support to education and other exploits that made Anambra to be rated as the best in road construction and financial management under him. These are desiderata for the growth and development of our dear state,” he concluded.
