Information gathered by NIGERIA NEWS has revealed the reason why the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party appointed the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki as the party National Leader.
According to the information, Saraki emerged the leader of the party across the nation because he is currently the highest ranking office holder in the PDP.
Recalled that the Senate President who is the number three citizen in the country recently dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress for the PDP.
He, however, became the national leader of the PDP yesterday during the 81st National Executive Meeting of the party held in Abuja at the party’s national headquarters.
According to Saraki who expressed his unquantifiable joy over his recent achievement in a tweet via his official twitter handle, “it is a great day for our country.”
He further added, “I am happy to be back to the political party where I started my political career. Everybody is important and no sacrifice will be too much to make in our journey to the Promised Land.”
As previously reported, Saraki was hailed by his supporters on his arrival in the venue of the NEC meeting.

Just as Saraki was being hailed by his loyalists, some others have also condemned his decision to have abandoned the APC as they claimed that he is not a true democratic personality.
Some went as far as referring to him as a thief who inherited the spirit of sealing from his father as they also make reference to the recent bank robbery which occurred in Offa, a town in Kwara State.
