Ogudu Magistrate Court Decides: Two Cultist Captured, summoned in court

According to the report received by NIGERIA NEWS, The Nigeria Police summoned two men, Micheal Hastrup, 24, and Bamilare Afolabi, 21, on Thursday at an Ogudu Magistrate Court in Lagos for purportedly having a place with a clique known as “Eiye Confraternity”.

According to what the Nigeria News Agency report, they said, the team, dwelling at Slappers territory of Ketu in Lagos State, are confronting a two-check charge of having a place with an unlawful society.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Fortunate Ihiehie, told the court that the litigants submitted the offenses on March 19 at around 4: 30 pm at Ferry region of Oworonshoki in Lagos.

Ihiehie said that on March 19, a group of policemen on obligation hailed and captured Hastrup, a cultist, who had been on the needed rundown of the DPO of Oworonshoki Division.

He further quoted in the court that, “Hastrup was located along Ferry territory of Oworonshoki and upon data, the police assaulted the spot and captured him alongside Afolabi with Indian hemp on them,”.

The examiner said the offenses contradicted Sections 42(a) and 411 of the Criminal Laws Cap. C17, Vol.3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The pair, be that as it may, argued not liable to the charges favored against them.

The Magistrate, Mrs. H. B. Morgaji, conceded the respondents safeguard in the entirety of N200,000 each with two sureties each in like a whole.

Mogaji said that the sureties must be occupants inside the court’s ward and ought to be productively utilized.
