Joint Admission Matriculation Board Examination has given reasons that the main purpose of Mocks exam is to access the student’s preparation and also acquaint the students with how to use Computer Base Test, CBT for JAMB examination
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede who said that Mocks examination help students in the preparation of the real exam in terms of fine-tuning questions, time management, changing questions and answering strategies is good for the good of all.
NIGERIA NEWS can recall the JAMB registrar started the mock examination in 2017 when papers and pen for JAMB examination were aborted across the school where the examination is meant to take place.
Oloyede made in known then that mocks exams helps remove CBT anxiety among students as it aids real JAMB examination comfort and minimizes all worries associated with the use of computer for the first time.
“The more candidates sit for a practice test, the more relaxed and confident they would feel on the day of the actual exam. Additionally, practice test does not only help candidates to identify problem areas, it also reassures them of their academic progress as it erases all examination phobia,” NIGERIA NEWS quoted the JAMB registrar, Oloyede as saying.
While saying that as much as mock exam helps the students, it also helps the examination board by access their level of readiness and preparation for the real JAMB examination he ends the saying as that with CBT mock exams, learning can be taken to greater heights.
